What every Realtor should know about Easy Street Realty

My name is Jason Smith and I have worked on and off for Easy Street Realty for about three years. I have had some life altering situations occur, which lead me to a respectable 30day notice being given to the manager, Chip Chickman and Sherry Ramsey.

I have been working on a new home transaction which does not close until May 2010, and my license is expiring at the end of April 2010. I told this to my broker and she said not to worry, she would close it, take out the taxes, and give me the proceeds. She changed her mind a few weeks later and I understood, I told her I would simply renew my licence and close out my last transaction. Seems easy enough right? Well, Chip Hickman the manager at Easy Street Realty, called me back, told me the owners are keeping my last check and turning my licence into the Real Estate commission. I told him my licence will be current and the buyer is expecting me to pick him up from the airport and do a final walk-thru with him. I told him this was illegal, however he said they have the right to fire an agent at anytime, for any reason and only give them a 25% referral fee. He told me they would simply tell the Real Estate commission, the buyer did not want to work with me anymore. The reason I am telling you this, is because, if you have a large commission or are thinking about leaving Easy Street Realty, beware, they are very dishonest and unethical. DO NOT GIVE A NOTICE if you intend to ever leave this company, it will backfire... Easy Street Realty could cheat you, like Easy Street Realty cheated me.

I think every agent, in every city that Easy Street Realty is located in should know about this and other types of unethical business practices they conduct. So I have decided to create this blog and other websites for complaints against Easy Street Realty. I believe everyone should know the truth about Easy Street Realty.

If you are an agent considering Easy Street Realty an office. Here are some things you need to consider. Agents at Easy Street Realty only receive leads if they take phone calls. Compared to Zip Realty which is another web based Real Estate company, Zip Realty wins, hands down! At Zip Realty, agents receive leads when they are showing homes, at a closing, or at a company meeting. At Easy Street Realty, only agents who are able to answer the phone get any new leads, therefore, only the agents who are not working, get new leads. The agents who are hard at work, get nothing.. It doesn't make sense and the result is agents who work hard closing a deal, then have a lapse in pay because their pipeline is empty. At Zip Realty, I received about 100 leads every month, and I received leads 24/7. This is the only way to survive at an Internet based Real Estate company, a mass amount of streaming leads... You must have flow. Other wise, you must GO!

Another aspect to consider, is Easy Street Realty agents only receive leads under $1,000,000 and no high rise condo leads. What this means is all the good leads are give to other one or two agents. Even the leads who call the Las Vegas are sifted through by their local broker, Sherry Ramsey. They are passed on to her husband who works in the office as well.. I know, because I have watched it happen. Seems like a conflict of interest to me.... How is an honest agent ever able to get ahead at Easy Street Realty?

Here is a couple of FREE tips for you to start your own websites.. http://www.1parkplace.com/ has a website for $70 a month.. it has a back office which allows you to email blast and manage your own leads. Google adwords allow you to create your own ad campaigns just like Easy Street Realty does. Its that easy... Prudential Americana in Henderson, Nevada will give you a free 1Park Place website and FREE training on how to advertise and blog. Do not use the company email address either, when you leave, your email address stays. Get a gmail or hotmail email instead.

So here's some FREE advice.. If you re a new agent, go to Zip Realty. Zip Realty has everything you will ever need to get started in Real Estate and REAL support, training, and company perks that make up for the commission split. If you have some experience, go to an office like Prudential Americana or Century 21, an office who will give you REO leads and help you create a "REAL" Real Estate business, a business you can call your own. A Real Estate business which you will be proud of and when the market turns, you will have success! Good Luck to you all.
